Now that you have an understanding of how empathy, cooperative learning and norms can assist in the development of community, it's time to find some activities and strategies to use with your students to develop these traits in the classroom.
Begin by setting a goal that you will obtain by the end of the semester.
Your facilitator may ask you to talk as a whole group to set one joint goal, or you may be asked to discuss individual goals with a shoulder partner.
Work individually to select activities and strategies for introducing each part of your Community Plan, using the Community Planning Resource Page and other sources you locate.
Reflection
Share one strategy you plan on using in your classroom and what benefits you hope it will provide. Be sure to access the Strategy Wall and add your strategy to the cohort collection.
